It’s a Game Changer For Doing Water Heaters
We recently got a call from a customer who bought his Hot Rod Hand Truck Kits back in 2018. His company specializes in residential water heater replacements in the northern California area. He wanted us to know just how valuable he thought the Hot Rod Hand Truck & Strap Kit really is. “It’s a game changer”, he said.
We spent about 20 minutes on the phone. His company had done several thousand water heater jobs using our Kit and was very happy with his purchases. He explained that the job sites in his area usually don’t have the same sort of problems that he’d seen in our videos on the Water Heater Lifter Channel. So, a lot of times, his techs don’t need everything the Hot Rod is capable of. But that didn’t mean they weren’t getting a big benefit from having it on their trucks.
He went on to tell me how just being able to lift the old water heater off a platform, with sediment in it, especially if it’s in a pan, was why it was a game-changer to him.
The Hot Rod Hand Truck Is Not a Normal Dolly
The Hot Rod Hand Truck is not a normal dolly. It has a curved top, you have a fulcrum to give you leverage so you can pull it out of a pan without any damage or risk of hurting your back. You can hang the tank from the handtruck and simply lever it out. Its simple.
He liked the fact that the dolly cradles the tank so it doesn’t roll off. He said he also liked the hard rubber tires because of their low rolling resistance. They have a wide tread and they won’t ever go flat because they don’t have any air. He liked that. He said he also liked the wideness because it combined with the stiffness (no air) to give the hand truck better stability (compared to regular dollies) when taking a water heater out off a platform. He even went so far as to say he wanted to purchase another one (hand truck only) to keep as a spare.
He said he considers the HRHT to be a ‘critical tool for plumbers and wter heater installers and doesn’t ever want to be without one. As we reached the end of the call, I thanked him once again for his business and for taking the time to reach out, and we said ‘goodbye’.
It was a real pleasure receiving his phone call. It truly made my day when he said it was a ‘game-changer!. It was nice of him to take the time to call just to say that.
